Round1 Bowling Prices: All You Need to Know!

I enjoy going to amusement centers that have a variety of activities available. Among them, Round 1 Bowling is my favorite.

They offer a unique bowling experience that you can enjoy with your loved ones. You can find their prices and services in this article to plan your next visit to a Round 1 Bowling branch near you.

In addition to the excellent locations, you can enjoy activities such as arcade games, billiards, ping pong, and more.

They also serve really good food, perfect for your next bonding activity with friends or family. So, let me walk you through what you can do at Round 1 Bowling prices and activities so you know what to expect.

Round1 Bowling Prices: Traditional and Spark Bowling

Round 1 (or Round One Entertainment) is a great option for bowling because they offer both traditional and spark bowling. Their traditional bowling is similar to the standard bowling alleys.

Looking at their traditional bowling game, you can enjoy this option for just $5 (quick disclaimer: prices tend to differ per location. We will take a closer look at this further down).

Spark Bowling, on the other hand, is their innovative offering that integrates the latest technology in the bowling lanes. I recommend you try this one-of-a-kind experience with your friends. Spark bowling features fun lighting effects and software scoring.

This brings your game to the next level, and you get to enjoy it for only $40 an hour per lane and $57 for two hours per lane (note that price differs depending on the location of the branch you’re playing at).

Why Do Bowling Prices Vary Per Location?

I have disclosed the earlier prices since prices vary per location. The cost is influenced by the amount the branch has to pay to run the bowling alley.

In addition, the price is deeply influenced by the cost of living in certain states.  Bigger cities tend to have higher operational costs compared to smaller cities.

This is why the prices of Round 1 bowling games may be more expensive in bigger metropolitan areas.

The day of the week you visit is another factor that may contribute to the price. For instance, weekends may be busier as well as holidays because fewer people are working these days. So make sure to check the prices when you’ve settled on a date.

How to Find Out the Exact Price to Bowl at Round1

As price differs per branch, there are ways to determine the exact cost of your next bowling game.

The first option is to visit their website to determine which branch is closest to you. Then, you can click on your desired branch, and you’ll find their activities, exact address, operation hours, and contact details.

Call the phone number and inquire about the cost of a bowling game for your desired date and time. Make sure to include the number of people and the type of bowling experience you’d like for an accurate estimate.

For bigger groups, you can reserve online to immediately secure a slot. Make sure to create an account or log in before proceeding with your reservation. Please note that reservations require groups of 20 people or more.

Add your name, preferred branch, and the package you want to select as a group. You’ll also need to put down the maximum number of people in your group and the date and time you’d like to visit. Remember that a 3-day notice is required for a reservation since last-minute reservations might not be accepted.

Finally, you can proceed with your add-ons and payment. After booking, you should receive a confirmation, so you don’t have to worry about not having a spot.

On the day of your visit, make sure to bring extra cash since there are a wide variety of activities that you’ll want to try.

The Round1 Membership

Another way to save money with Round1 is by subscribing to their membership. Memberships cost around $5 per year plus tax.

It offers a $1 discount on selected activities when you download their app (either Apple Store or Google Play) and a free activity upon signing up.

With every visit, you will collect stamps that can bump you up to different tiers. With every tier accomplished, you’ll receive an award. For us, every time we visit, we earn stamps that will eventually deduct $1.75 off per game (with more promos included).

When we reach a certain tier, we can also choose freebies, such as vouchers for bowling games, karaoke, billiards, and free food (on certain tiers).

All-You-Can-Play Weekday Fun Deal

Make the most of Round1 is through their All-You-Can-Play Weekday Fun Deal. Head to your nearest branch and play to your heart’s content for only $14.99 per person (tax applicable at select locations).

You can enjoy unlimited bowling, karaoke, and billiards while being budget-friendly. The promo is available from Monday to Friday until 5 p.m. Keep in mind that this promo is not available during holidays and has limitations during summer and spring.

It’s best to contact your preferred branch before going to verify the conditions of the promo.

Other Ways to Save Money on a Bowling Outing

While playing at Round 1 offers many fun activities, it’s easy to spend more than you expected. Here are some ways you can save while playing at Round 1. Participating in activities or games that you weren’t planning on playing can easily increase your overall price.

If you want to stay on track with your budget, take a look at the activities they offer ahead of time and plan for the ones you want to play the most.

Another way to save is to gather your friends and play as a group, so you can divide bowling costs and food costs (if applicable). It also helps if you eat at home before heading to Round 1 to avoid unnecessary expenses.

Finally, it doesn’t hurt to call your nearest branch and ask about any ongoing or upcoming deals and promotions to earn a discount. Using your membership card can also help towards discounts and points to collect for later.

How Many Hours Should You Purchase for Spark Bowling?

To determine how many hours you’ll want to budget for spark bowling, it’s good to first figure out how long it takes to play a traditional game. On average, it takes 40 minutes for a casual player to finish a game (noting that there are 2 players per game).

It also depends on how long it takes the individuals in your group. For example, professional players tend to finish faster, while there are some players who spend five minutes for just one turn.

However, it’s generally safe to say that two players can get about three games in an hour. If you’re visiting with more players, it’s best to book more than one hour to give your group enough time.

Does Round 1 Accept Cash?

Yes, Round 1 accepts cash, major debit, and credit cards in all locations.

They also accept other forms of payment, such as checks, Chime, and gift cards. If you have any questions or doubts, please call your preferred branch before visiting to confirm.

How to Prepare for Your Bowling Outing at Round1

Here are some helpful tips to prepare for Round 1 to have a seamless experience.

The first thing you can do to prepare is to call your nearest branch and make sure that slots are available. This way, you can also verify the costs of your preferred activities and see if there are ongoing promotions that can help you save some money.

Secondly, you should determine how many players will come and whether they need to rent shoes. Make sure to bring a photograph ID so that they can verify your age and identity. Please note that Round 1 only allows adults over 21 years old. Guests under 21 years old are required to have a parent or guardian.

Another helpful tip is to wear comfortable clothing and to follow the dress code at Round 1.

To know more about how to prepare, read their house rules.
